So, just to catch up with the two events we've had so far, a brief summary of our July benefit that was hosted for Pigs Peace Sanctuary. You can see their summary of the event here.
We raised $406 by serving two delicious desserts: a key lime tart with a pistachio crust and a kashmir chocolate cake, as well as a small sampler plate of mini cupcakes and chocolate truffles. We had two wonderful musical acts, another great performance by the Sugar Crash Crashers (this time with a slightly different line-up) and a beautiful solo performance by Steve Arntson.
We had so much help, we really couldn't have done it without everyone who came, volunteered, played, helped us find a space to host it in, and much more. It sounds cheesy, but oh well.
